Coupon Deals 1/4/09

I love playing the coupon game. I think that it is so fun to see how much money that you can save by chasing sales and using coupons. I have read so many stories of how people actually get paid by the stores for the items. I am very new to this and still have a lot to learn. I am sure that other people have a stack of stuff 3-4 times as large as mine that paid nothing.

My total for all of this stuff above was $12.30. I basically just paid for the Cottonelle and the rest was free when you look at it that way. Here is a list in case you can't see everything.
20 double rolls of Cottonelle
2 Reynolds Wrap foil
2 Colgate Total Toothpaste
124 count Excedrin
2 Special K with Strawberries
2 Frosted Flakes
2 Triaminic Medicine strips for kids
1 Palmolive Dish Detergent
1 Electrosol Dishwasher Gelpacs
1 Playtex Sport Tampons
2 Quaker Oatmeal boxes

More to come next week!

The Last 4 Days

My Mom and I have a catering business called Savalyns Catering. Yes, I know that it is an odd name. It is a combination of my nieces names, Savannah and Madelyn. We did a catering yesterday for a great lady that I have worked with for the last 5 years. The wedding was so pretty and the couple have such a great story.

We had never done a reception like this before. We set up all of the food on cake plates on each of the tables. The guests then could help themselves at their table.

It took me 3 days to bake the cookies for the wedding...definitely not a task that I want to do on a daily basis. :-) I spent one day making the sugar cookie dough and putting in the fridge to set up. I then baked all of the Mexican Wedding cookies and half of the sugar cookies on the 2nd day. On the third day I baked the rest of the sugar cookies. Whew...
